Registrations

As it was mentioned several times till now, every COMET user needs to be registered in the system. The same rule applies to referees and officials. After entering all general data, if you are a person responsible for creating new users, click the "New user" tab in order to connect user name and password with previously entered data. The system automatically informs a new user about his username and password. Every user needs to have a valid e-mail address. Only the The Association ADMINISTRATORS and SUPERUSERS are in charge of managing user accounts. Every system user can have one ore more roles. Each role counts with specific permissions that allow him to execute specific actions. Referees, delegates and observers are users that participate in competitions. They are responsible to prepare and enter certain data. First they have to be assigned to the competition and after that, to the respective matches.

Referees

As always, a referee needs to be entered into the system. Select the menu item "New referee" and complete all the mandatory fields (marked in red) and press the "Save" button. Once you have entered all the data, the registration status is automatically set to "CONFIRMED". If you are a person responsible to create new user accounts, once you have entered all the mandatory data, press the "New user" tab in order to create a new user.

Once a new user is created, he will get an e-mail informing him about his new credentials.

Delegates

The procedure of registering and verifying delegates is exactly the same as for referees. After entering all the mandatory fields, the responsible person can create a new user account and password by clicking the "New user" tab. According to his role and permissions, a delegate can add players to line-ups and insert events for the match. That process is described in details in the "Competition" chapter. Once a delegate was assigned to a competition or a match, he can add referees and observers.

Referee Observers

The procedure of registering and verifying observers is exactly the same as for referees and delegates. After entering all the mandatory fields, the responsible person can create a new user account and password by clicking the "New user" tab. According to his role and permissions, a delegate can add players to line-ups and insert events for the match. That process is described in details in the "Competition" chapter. Also, they are assigned to competitions and matches the same way as referees and delegates are. The observer needs to close the "Observer Report" in determined period of time after the match has been played (duration of that period is question of decision of each federation).

Referee marks are being entered in the first box if there was no clear refereeing mistake. In case it happens, the second box serves for entering mark that would have been applied without clear refereeing mistake.

My next and previous matches

Next and previous matches.png

My next and My previous matches menu items allow referees, delegates and observers to see the matches to which they were assigned to. When referees, delegates or observers enter the system "My next matches" screen will open automatically. On the same screen you can select a match that you want to work on.

In case of referees and delegates, their next matches will be matches in status "SCHEDULED", and their previous matches will be the ones in the "PLAYED" status. However, the observers will see the matches that have "Observer report" status set to "IN PROGRESS", and their previous matches will be the ones that have "Observer report" status set to "CLOSED".

Availability

The Referee and Officials Module counts with one very useful functionality. By clicking the menu item "Availability", you can check if the referee or any other official is available in certain period of time.
